Shane, You are right about the volatility of ADI, LSI, and APCC.
But Iam not a day trader. People have asked about entry points
on all of these stocks. My view on tech stocks is don't buy them
unless there is a probability that they will rise by ten points or so
in the next six to nine months.
If a stock is worth owning its not of any significance wheather its
trading at $33.00 or $35.00 per share at any given time. However a
person's entry point on a stock has great bearing as to how they view
it six months down the road. My cost basis on ADI is $26.00 per share
so I can take a very charitable view on swings between 30 & 35. I do
know that the overall trend in chip sales is very positive for the next
year and ADI, LSI, and NSM will benefit in share price appreciation.

I did an analysis on what my net worth in stocks would have been
had I kept the stocks I owned on Jan. l5th. The results amazed me.
I would have been 4% futher ahead had I just left things alone. This
told me I was a good enough stock selector, but had a tendency to make
too many trades.

My objective now is not to trade out of a stock unless there is a
long term negative outlook, (IFMX and KMAG), and the money can be used
more efficienly some where else. With low cost transaction fees its
effective to sell just part of a position rather than dumping it only
to see it recover 90 days later. (SEG)

It has been said ride your winners out. But for me when a position
appreciates to more than l5% of my portfolio I will reduce that position
to l0% of my portfolio and add another stock. This may cut my gains
(AMAT, KLAC) but it does broaden my holdings.

Right now Iam doing the math on ADI, and NSM options, The best position
on ADI look like the Jan 30's. However I would but these only if ADI
drops to the price of $30 to $3l per share. These would have the
best chance of working out.

Thanks your information on previous postings. Question? How do you
embed a web address from another site into a responce you are sending?
How do you put those neat blue web address into your Postings? The last
few years I spent too much time in the jungles of ZAIRE and south America
and too little time studying computer functionality.

Sincerely,...... Jerome
