Bike paths are cool, but not a national issue. Well, maybe a little bit, because the EPA says that wetlands must be preserved, so municipalities can't build on wetlands, but they can put stream valley paths, which are nice if you can afford them. Saving trees isn't really a national issue either, except on public land, and when attempting to save endangered species.

The whole point of being a bobo is that bobos are sort of a cross between bohemians, who tend to be lefties, and bourgeois, who tend to be righties. Republicans drink latte at Starbucks and hang out at Borders, too. We just haven't had a bobo president yet.

Not sure if Dean is really a bobo, he seems to be basically a New England style Yankee to me. Small town, small frame of reference, small ideas. But I admit I tune him out.
