Obl, So, you are saying that Palast is a male Anne Coulter? <G> Actually, I have found that true of his writings, too. He, like his right wing counterparts, only tell the part of the story they find convenient. However, to his credit, he pounded Clinton for cruise missiling Iraq. In fact, most liberals were critical of Clinton's nearly Republican policies in many areas. They weren't as concerned as the wingnuts with the fact that he has testosterone. <G>
I have a problem with the moral sanctimony of the neocons in this administration. They do evil and wrap it in The Bible, where they've definitely picked out a few choice verses and ignored the context. But I actually support our intervention in Afghanistan, though I feel free to criticize the micro details. The Taliban were terrorists and gave shelter to Bin Laden. Saddam was a bad guy, like most of our allies in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He was no threat to the United States or even neighboring countries, as the cakewalk war demonstrated. Those attacking Toyota pickups told the story quite well. Are we in the business of making all the kids mind? If so, we have a big job ahead of us. |
