A couple of points.... I think a decent reform to the jury system would be to allow jurors to ask their own questions....... My own experience on why such a large fraction of matters do not go to trial for the most part is related to two things: 1. Most lawyers are afraid of going to trial.....I often use this reticence to my advantage. 2. Most parties are willing to settle because they are pressured by their lawyers to do so.... JLA
