Portfolio Update. Open positions: members.aol.com Closed positions Dec 8-17: members.aol.com Larry: I am short DIA for two reasons. One, as a hedge against long positions, and two because I think the DJIA is ripe for a big correction. I may be right or wrong, but that's my reason for the 20% short position. I don't think that 20% is an excessively large short position within the overall context of our portfolio, although it would probably be better to use SPY instead of DIA for better diversification. I may swap those in a few days.
