Nope, a recession would have been fine, most Americans expected it. But not stagflation, which is what the BushCo economy has led us to.

This is another bad retail season with no jobs for average americans, millions more in poverty and millions more uninsured. Meanwhile, some colossal, trumped up GDP and multinationals selling all they can build. The economic stewardship under the Bush team is the worst I have ever seen. For the hard questions, like globalization and the 2-tier society that it is creating, the BushCo team just ignores the problem, and continues to dole out the treasury to the upper classes.

Bush's poll numbers are too low for him to win. If he does win though, because something changes or the dems can't put forth a suitable challenger, I suspect BushCo policies will be hobbled because republicans won't win both houses of congress.

BTW the fact that Google keeps that "miserable failure" link to Bush after all these weeks should tell the white house something. If Bush were truly popular Google would have taken that off immediately, they certainly have the power to do so.
