I'm afraid that Dean is so wacky that he will wither away his lead as the Dems wake up to the realization that he is a disaster for them. What may occur then is an opening for Hillary or someone else who is a bit more centrist.

Dean's popularity is peaking at too early a time in the election cycle. The embarrassments will mount and his lead will start to fritter away, IMO.

I stand by my statement that the election will be a lot closer than anyone presently thinks. I don't think Dean will be the Dems guy--if he was as loose a cannon in Vermont as he is nationally, he is going to get gutted by a skeleton in his closet or something equally devastating.
