Then why all the complaining about Bush's reasons, WMDs and the like? There isn't the least doubt that Saddam was in violation of 17 Chapter 7 UN resolutions. Now you say you'd be cool with the whole thing, if only France had given permission for that 18th UN resolution. You do realize it wouldn't have changed any of Bush's reasons if it had? If the UN is your 'pope', all else is irrelevant.

BTW, I'd be interested in your opinion on the very much current Sudanese slave system. Ought we to let the Sudanese alone, on the grounds that it's their system?
