UBS

NEW YORK, December 19 (New Ratings) – Analyst Stephen Chin of UBS maintains his “neutral” rating on 3Com (COMS). The target price has been raised from $8.50 to $9.00.

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that 3Com's Q2:04 sales were significantly ahead of the estimates. The company reported robust sales growth in Europe, with a 38% sequential growth during the period, the analyst says. However, the company's sales declined sequentially in the US, for the fifth consecutive quarter, UBS adds.
