saddam was a product of his environment...many "honorable" thieves and murderers...just looking for any clan rivalry , jhiad or a coupe d'etat would do.

his mother tried to commit suicide during the pregnancy , and used to bang her stomach on doors and walls attempting to kill him .... Saddam grew up knowing how to kill without a care. He turned out to be such a good boy by local standards.<G>
