I used to subscribe to Bernie's (costly) services some years back, and with even far more costly results. He has a few standard setups which his staff identifies and "calls". If the staff people happen to be not good, or the setups go through a period when they don't work, whoever follows him is in trouble.

I did develop, however, respect for Bernie as a market timer in the longer time frame. I recall in 1998 he turned aggressively bullish while everyone looked for an abyss to open down below.
