Re. the reasons for the war - as to the multiple rationales given for the war before hand, what I said was factual. I've posted a number of times the language of the Congressional resolution authorizing the war as well as Powell's address to the UN. I'm tired of having to prove the same thing over and over.

As to Saddam's links to terrorism, while he can't conclusively be tied to 911, it can be proved he had connections to other terror groups. I've posted a number of times on this and again I am tired of having to prove the same thing over and over.

Re. my description of the UN as a complete failure: Cyprus and Cambodia are successes of the UN? The Turkish occupation of 40% of Cyprus continues. The hundreds of thousands of refugees haven't gotten their property back, I don't believe. Cambodia was liberated from the Khmer Rouge by a Vietnamese invasion. If the UN has done something successful in regard to either of these countries, please tell me what it is.

Re. Bush's credibility: The French and Russians have done an aboutface on the debt issue and it's because of Bush's actions. My use of the word credibility means that when Bush says something, other world leaders take him seriously. That's a good state of affairs IMO and is a change from the past.

Lastly, I will add that Gaddafi's admission today of his WMD programs and his agreement to peacefully dismantle them after 9 months of negotiations with Britain and the US (hey, what happened 9 months ago?) is an obvious accomplishment of the Iraq war.
