Did Bush change the way unemployment is calculated? If not, then the question above in completely irrelevent. We are gauging how the overall unemployment rate is right now. Seems that if it is really 8.9% as you contend, that is the number we would be reading about. Word games aside, please answer these questions:

1) What to YOU think the current unemployment rate is?
2) If you use the same "methodology" that produces 8.9% currently, what does that "methodology" do to historical numbers?
3) Do you think it is fair to compare unemployment rates using different methodologies?
