Just ran the numbers. This system STINKS! LOL!
SP500 is up roughly 10% since we started here.

The High risk system lived up to its name by losing close to 10%.
The Conservative system managed a 1% loss.

The main problem is slippage. We are losing one day on each end of the trade which is unacceptable.

Thats the bad news...the good news is I still have what appears to be a useful midterm indicator of overall trend.

So what do I do from here?

Learn from the old and build new.

Here is what I plan on doing with the new system:
1)Trade the QQQ,LONG and SHORT, trying to make volatility our friend.
2)Generate signals by 3:30 p.m EST. to leave at least 15 minutes for mutual fund transactions.(Minimize slippage)
3)Use only the leveraged dynamic funds that try to match 200% of the daily performace of the QQQ, LONG or SHORT.
4)Trades will be more selective. We will not be in the market all the time.Sometimes, between trades, we will be market neutral.Trades will be short, choppy, and any profits will be banked quickly which is essential with the leveraged funds.

Thats it for the moment.I'll have much more information in the coming days and weeks.

The new system will be called "Triple Q Times Two" or
"QQQ X 2".

This is not just something I'm throwing together. This is something I've wanted to do for some time. The big challenge here is trying to tame the leveraged dynamic funds.
Many have tried, very few have had any long term success.I have my own ideas on how to do it.

The experiment continues with a new system Jan. 1 2004.
