I am curious, AS has twice posted something along the lines of "what has the GOP done to protect the working man".
What does the board feel this means? Is AS and others feeling we should be a socialistic government taken care of by the Govt, or should we be a self reliance Nation with the Govt creating conditions to assure the growth of the Nation in total?
As to what has the GOP done, well for starters just in Bush's term, they have:
1. Acted promptly and decisively to curb terrorist attacks against our people and our interests on the home and foreign fronts.
2. Acted promptly and decisively to ease the Clinton recession and to promote conditions to reestablish growth in this nation.
3. Supported and passed a school voucher program which certainly benefits the working class far more then the wealthy.
4. Finally caused to be passed a medical prescription plan that for sure benefits the lower income class far more then the wealthy.

Those are the things I can think of off the top of my head in a few minutes of thought. jdn
