Perhaps I'm a bit more optimistic in my moderation, but I think what I suggested is possible. Once we admit defeat and go back with dealing with tyrants than all corruption of the past is doomed to be repeated.

I agree that it is not the US's historical morality that must be the judge.

There is basic good and bad. 9/11 is evil and those who teach that west must be destroyed is evil and one has to start with that basic premise. That's not an all inclusive list.

I'm not advocating occupation of each nation and I'm sure you can't find that I did suggest that. We won't dictate but we can lead. Saying our history prevents that is an argument that leads to inaction and nothing but criticism.
