It is, to me, as well. The company is dying from a failure to innovate. Once, Borland could be counted on for the most innovative software concepts.

Remember the early IDEs, then Delphi? These were really new and attractive things. For that matter, Quattro Pro brought about more innovation in spreadsheet technology than anything that was done after Lotus. Oh, how I long for the "old days".

Of course, Microsoft has its eye on the ball -- the BIG ball -- they want a piece of every online transaction, and one day, will have it. .NET is the first step in this process.

Perhaps the best hedge against using Borland tools is owning Microsoft's stock.
