Yahoo already charges fees for some services. basic email account is free, but larger mailboxes are not. Full picture viewing in albums now costs too. I seriously doubt the financial and/or messenger will be charged. Discount brokers provide tons of free info also. MSN, AOL, ICQ all have messenger programs for free so plenty of choices for free service.
