DR. PPS: As far as Shiva and Informix. Well, I don't like what has
happened to either company. Especially, Informix. I think you might
have a tougher haul with them than NOVL (again, I'm not receommending
NOVL). Shiva, well, ??? dunno. They "were" a flyer at one time. I know
you're looking for value/short term plays. I myself, would (am) throw
$ into oh, LU, DELL, IBM, and more $ into CPQ (and perhaps INTC). I
don't know how much discretionary $ you are working with, and to me
anyway, the relative ROI on "smaller positions" in "more expensive"
companies have worked out much better (again, for me..), than the
opposite. Off the techs, you might want to look at DIAL (moving up
again), and you can get in for under $20 now. Other than that, I keep
saying regarding NOVL --- "tough decisions <GGG>". Regards, ...Joe |
