Most of Rutan's projects are done on a very tight budget. And, once again "..he's first..". His Beech Starship is still one of the most beautiful planes in the air, even if it does cost a little more to operate than some of the competition. Burt has brought the composite technology almost as far as the biggies like Mickey-Douglas, Grumman or Martin. I think that if he had the opportunity now to replace the pushers on the Starship With Williams turbines it would open many new opportunities in BizAv. I wish Mooney could build general aviation versions of the Rutan Long-Eze, which was another of his superb designs. John :-)
