Government Web Sites, like all Web Sites, have stuff put up and removed all the time, E, as you well know.

"Stuff put up and removed"? Hmmmm.

Do those web sites have words inserted into past speeches "all the time," too?

If a Democrat revised the record by removing wildly erroneous cost-predictions they'd made, for example; or, much later, added a significant word that didn't appear in a speech at the time it was made (to make it accord with what occurred later) well, I think both you and I would think that was sleazy behavior on the part of the Democrat, in a democracy. Voters have a right to read what their leader actually said -- not what a later spin doctor thinks would have been better if he'd said instead, given subsequent events.

The excess government secrecy and web-scrubbing phenomena are imo unAmerican, and, as precedent, dangerous.

If people respond to my posts, LindyBill, I try to reply to them, if I have the time.
