Income tax brackets are not an accurate gauge.
The rich get most of their money from passive income which is now lightly taxed. Rich kids get their money from estates which are now not taxed. The rich don't even have to think about working anymore. Therefore idleness is encouraged. Charities also suffer with Bush's tax code to the tune of a billion a year since there is less incentive for write-offs. Services to the poor are also being cut so it's a double whammy to the poor, a raw deal for the middleclass and a great big gift to the rich. If you're rich and miserly, vote Bush. But the two richest men in the US Gates and Buffett don't like Bush's tax cuts and don't want them. They know how it will deteriorate society.
