Nadine,
Again as Dylan says "times they are a changing". It just may now be in the political interests of Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia (as potential financier of this solution) to address the Palestinian problem head-on now. Egypt could incorporate Gaza(i forgot about gaza). Jordan can take back the 98% of the West Bank offered. Both can commit to pacifying the area. US and Saudis can help finance this and international agencies can help with economic reconstruction. A regional entity which would include these nations and Israel can become the free trade zone. The west bank will be allowed some degree of home rule as part of Jordan and Jordanian police would replace the PA security forces. Mike
PS I will add two more things. Arafat will retire as he will be made an offer he cannot refuse. And Sharon will retire after Arafat goes since he is hated by most palestinians and might be too much for them to stomach. His replacement should be you because you are passionate about israel and one tough lady. <g> Mike
