The WMDs will likely be found, it's too easy to assemble phony "evidence", from one of three so far that have been telegraphed by the administration:
(1)'rapid deployment' systems that can assemble some sort of mass weapons from more benign components. These can be claimed to have shown up in newly found 'documents', or evidence from SH's cohorts being claimed as rousted out,
(2)buried systems, vis a vis buried fighter planes,
(3)transferred systems, from Yemen or elsewhere, magically transferred by Al Queda, thereby proving two themes with one lie.
The large amount of secure travel and traffic allows volumes of materiale to be transferred and secreted in Takrit or elsewhere, ready for the appropriate time to be 'discovered'.
Opponents to the administration should begin to say, "even if WMDs are found, this war was built on the false premise that reams of inspectors in a pathetically broken and defeated country would not have been able to prevent WMD development". This will help defuse the phony WMD evidence possibility. Otherwise, if the administration is corrupt enough to come up with more phony WMD evidence (as we've seen with Niger yellowcake already), it's a trap. |
