What makes you believe that Dean will be less ruthless in going after OBL ?

Hi, MB, welcome aboard! First off, I think OBL is dead, but that doesn't stop the need to clean out the funding and the organization of the Islamists, so your question holds.

We can't have "Homeland Security," it's a myth. Too many ways to get at us, and we are not going to become a garrison state. What we can do is take sensible precautions. What we are doing is fine by me, but arguable.

We have been chasing the OBL organization. It's not a subject that lends itself to publicity. You do it with Forensic Accountants and other good Intel people. Clean out the organization and dry up the money supply. Dull work, really, but the only way to get them. No "derring do" involved. Just quiet Intel and Police work.

The biggest deterrent, IMO, to us getting the job done is our PC. We have a "5th column" of Islamists in this country that are supplying funds and local manpower for terrorism. They are holding on to the "belt buckle" of the Government while doing so. They support our Politicians and scream bloody murder at any attempt to investigate them.

The people backing Dean want to "negotiate" with these Islamists.
