GM- semiconductors seem to have a mind of their own in wild markets the SOX index lets you see the industry as a whole and if it is diverging from the overall market trend.(example: late 95 everything runs except semis)now the semi index strong while other market indexs weak(short term view). If you look at the chart its at the bottom end of its sawtooth shaped uptrend channel. If your a bull in their one product commodity market looks like a great buying opportunity, If your'e a bear it is at a key support price and if it busts it you may see the trend changing down. I don't have a clue. I bought puts a week ago because of the massive hype over the last months. I figured that those in the know had already bought wholeesale and were hyping to retail their shares before truth comes out. I lost a bunch of money in late 1995 believing MU hype. I'll take my profit just because I want to have buying power in the insane market. no opinions on MU now. I do know that you can use the analyst hype to make money whether they are being truthful or not. Good Investing- should be interesting market now that the orgy is being raided by the cops. Don
