Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt with "retro-chic" rather than labeling me "paleo-something-or-other" or worse. <g>

No, not trying to be chic, retro or otherwise. The reason I like VCRs is because, while I don't watch a lot of TV, it seems that everything I want to watch is on opposite each other and all of it past my bed-time, which is admittedly very early. So, what I have is a situation where I frequently have three or four or five things, once seven, on opposite each other for an hour and nothing the other 23 hours. At the moment, the latest gizmos will not handle more than two shows at a time. Nor do they have storage capacity enough for me to stock up during first runs to play back months later during reruns. Thus, the VCRs. I just don't think the new stuff is quite ready for prime time yet, at least not for my purposes. I was also concerned that I might soon not be able to buy them if I waited until mine broke. Well worth the money even if I only need them for a short while.

Hey, whatever works!

I have five VCR's in the house at the moment, four of them hooked up.
