You should be prepared, Unk. But you should still go about your normal life.

That is why I wrote yesterday that the color-code is meaningless to the average family.
I totally agree and preparedness does not require constant, continuous effort.

Once a family has a plan and the supplies needed to execute that plan...They can relax and go about daily life knowing they are prepared, regardless of the current alert status.

For most that is a much more comfortable frame of mind.
