Shack, the editor at Sentimentrader.com tracks equity options with the QQQ options subtracted from the total. He finds that sin QQQ's options have better predictive value. According to him, both the 21 and 5 day put/call moving averages are at a "couple of years" lows, at 0.5 and 0.45 respectively (as of last week).

So, whatever wind the bulls still have in their sails, the options situation is probably not a big part of it. It's probably just another 'inexplicable' momentum phenomenon, which doesn't go on forever - but while it lasts, it should be given respect.
