The country needs an education in the safety of LNG handling. The country also needs LNG. Therefore it will happen.

If the job is done right and people are educated LNG import is no different than many other hazards we accept daily - especially in areas around many HC processing plants. Of course - since the job has not been done correctly some politicians can use LNG importation as a scare tactic to convince people they need more government protection. After 9/11 the illustrious Senator from Maryland, Barbara M, initially screamed about Cove Point. I have not heard anything from her lately. Perhaps she became educated.
