The Democratic Party was against NAFTA and GATT in the first place. To his credit, Clinton supported them, but it was the Republican Party in Congress that handed him victory. The votes were almost straight party line. The fact that a couple of protectionist measures were acceded to by this Administration due to allegations of dumping does not weigh against the principal facts. The environmental changes are reasonable policy adjustments. The rest is just your usual nutball rant.......
