The guy who wrote that article is a dope. Really? Well, that would be nice. He was talking about being in Mecca and a bunch of people were standing around waiting for something or other to start--sorry, don't recall the details--but he was making the point that it didn't start at, say, six o'clock, but at sunset or sunrise or some such, and this bunch of people was dithering waiting from somebody to declare that it was time to begin rather than just looking at their watches for the appointed time. He was also talking about how days don't all start and end at the same time so there aren't a precise number of minutes in a day. If it weren't for holiday traffic, I'd run by there and see if they still had a copy. His written expression was that of a smart, educated person. I suppose that doesn't assure that he's not a dope. <g>
