Thanks John, I started composing something along those very same lines this morning and hesitated when I wasn't sure the "accidental death" comment referred to Rachel Corrie. Clearly, ideological blinders lead to some might peculiar lies being told. To me, this is the greatest disappointment about the Likudniks in Israel and their colonies in the White House and Pentagon. These people seem to simply be pathological liars. I have a much harsher assessment. Nadine is a prevaricator and willfully distorts reality to comport with her fantasies of what a greater Israel will mean for her grandchildren. (Compare to the Messianic pronouncements in PNAC's "Rebuilding America's Defenses" where the Likudnik authors rave about the empire that "our grandchildren will thank us for!") * A look at Sharon's recent approval ratings shows the gulf which has developed between the views of the two. Surely you are not naive (or slavishly devoted) enough to equate the two? What kind of odds are you making on this proposition? I'm thinking about shooting some fish in this barrel. I've seen enough of the fawning infatuation that Nadine expresses for (dear) "Arik" to realize that we have a madwoman in fool swoon on our hands. *** I'll end this with an appropriate quote: " I wish you knew what you were talking about".
