LOL. I think they will ban US beef if the outbreak is not contained. They had a piece on CNN with an "expert" from Wyoming, who said that it may be the tip of an iceberg. Stand by for "Cowgate".

I think that Japan may be inclined to trust Canadian beef over US. Canada tests a much higher percentage of its animals than the US, if the US Sec of Ag's numbers are accurate. It's really hard to trust the Americans at the moment especially after the events of the past couple of years.

Feeding animal based feed to the vegetarian animals causes disease. My father worked with cattle and cattle feed for 50 years, and is constantly amazed at how far from safe we have wandered. Cattle are grazers. They don't eat other animals. We need to accept that and work with it.
