So it's OK to lie, distort & mislead in an opinion piece?
And you think that opinion pieces don't count as part of
information disseminated by the media to its audience?

I looked up opinion since I must be confused about what
the word actually means.....

substantiated by positive knowledge or proof: “The

opinion”

A judgment based on special knowledge and given by an
expert: a medical opinion.

Nowhere did I find the use of lies, distortion or the
intentional use of misleading statements as an acceptable
way to frame an opinion.

Sheesh indeed!
