They buy Gabelli funds because they see him on CNBC sounding slick and smooth and selling his crap like a good snake oil salesman should. Never ceases to amaze me how much money is so badly managed worldwide. And try talking to one of those money managers about what they could do differently - fuggedaboutit, they know what they know and that's all that they know. Until more people yank their money out of these con job funds, the game will go on.
