Guess I'm an idealist...I think if we don't expect more and better of our politicians, we will continue getting on what we are getting... For instance, Rep. Jennifer Dunn from WA State...Totally classy lady, a hard worker, and honest. I've met her, and like her very much. Compare her with Rep Jim MacDermott. 180 degree difference, and glad he's not representing my District. However, he and other like him represent all of us sometimes, so it makes sense for us to support those who represent our views and expectations of a politician. My argument is always to recognize that politicians are politicians and the system is the system and not to deify one party and demonize the other because they're not that different.
