Well, I always say mad cow is better than no cow.

Seriously, this is not a new disease. it's been around for at least 400 years in England. And there's something like a half dozen people that got this disease. This may be incredibly stupid but I'm just not going to live my life in fear. More people get killed and maimed by drunk drivers every month than died in the WTC and Pentagon on 9/11. If we are to live in fear, which is the more clear and present danger?

I have hear Bill Moyers say the tool the conservatives use to stay in power is fear. The more they can whip up, the stronger they get lord over us. Maybe instead of trying to set a fire under the democratic party, it would be better to start a frenzy of apathy over all these scary thing the neocons are so intent on doing. If everyone from the highest paid CEO to the private soldering in the ranks just said "naaaa, I don't wanna do that," that would pretty much end the grand visions of world domination.
