>>>Debt and Spend Conservatives<<<

That is fine with me. However, I like "Johnsonian-Reaganomics" too. That is guns, butter, and tax cuts. I believe the Republican Party has lost its way and has sacrificed its integrity and philosophy for votes. Currently, it is captured in a deficit embrace with a pure politician who, in my opinion, will do anything for votes. For example, Mr. Bush has not vetoed any legislation for any principle. Not only that, but just last week he explained he supports a strong dollar. Well, we have effectively devalued the dollar against the Euro by over 25 percent since last year.

In similar fashion, the Republicans were given the opportunity to back a true conservative in the California recall. Instead, they went with an actor. As a result, the current "Republican" governor of California "resolved" the state's deficit problem by cutting taxes and issuing billions in new debt. Call it "debt and spend" or "Johnsonian-Reaganomics" but it is the same thing: fiscal irresponsibility.
