On low volume stocks like LBIX, in order to get the number of shares you want, use All or None conditions to your order. You will see buys and sells around your price, but it avoids having the market maker feeding you odd lots of stock, thus your small fill of 600 shares.

It should read on your screen AON in the special conditions box.

I've had the same problem in the past, discovered the AON condition and have never had the problem again. The broker loves the small fills, cuz they get a commission everytime you fill (on a different day) and the market maker loves it since they get more order flow that way. Since they play inside the best bid and ask (and sometimes below) plus a fraction of a percent per trade, the more trades they fill the more they make.
