MOSENERGO's regional dispatch is transferred to System Operator

At this stage of preparations for reforming AO MOSENERGO, by December 20, the Regional Dispatch Division will be transferred from AO MOSENERGO to the OAO Central Dispatch – System Operator (SO) of RAO UES.

SO is a specialized organization that is being set up at this stage of reforms in the Russian power sector. SO will solely manage modes of operations for power facilities and issue dispatch orders and instructions that will be binding for all electric facilities and consumers.

The Moscow Regional Dispatch Division (MRDD) will be set up based on AO MOSENERGO's dispatch. It will be responsible for reliability of operation of all electric facilities in the Moscow region. Hence, the new local enitity will operate on the geographic, not corporate basis. MRDD is expected to dispatch the operations of generation companies, as well as other power companies including GUP Mosgorenergo.
