AO MOSENERGO held a contest for children's drawings and essays 27.12.2003 On Power Specialist Day AO MOSENERGO held an annual contest for children's drawings and essays dedicated to the “Russian Power Sector in 2050". This contest spanned three days consisted of pupils from the Moscow region. This year pupils from Moscow schools also took part in this contest for the first time. In total, around 800 pupils from intermediate and senior classes took part in the contest. The contest was fully dedicated to the power sector. The pupils from Moscow and Moscow region touched upon the most topical issues including the development of the regional electric industry, the introduction of alternative power sources, electric safety and many others. The authors of the best works won prizes and valuable gifts. This contest is part of AO MOSENERGO's planned educational effort among pupils in the Moscow region. Throughout the academic year the Company organizes open lessons at which pupils are taught to handle electric appliances and are told how power stations and electric grids work. The power specialists invite pupils to visit the Company's branches on a regular basis. On International Children Day AO MOSENERGO holds contests for children drawings.
