It's that time of year when you play Janus - you look both forward and back. Since it's an election year that is coming, four years back becomes significant. Four years ago, most people I knew were happy - particularly those that had some QCOM in their portfolio.

Now, when on a muted TV, a picture of VP Cheney appears, you hear a spectral voice from the shadows, 

"What evil lurks in the hearts of men".
