Hi William,

Read the letter and I have to second what was discussed. My experience with Dell when trying to order a FP Monitor and Memory Upgrade for my Dimension was very similar.

I'm now waiting four weeks for the Monitor which was scheduled to ship within the week of my placing the order. I'm told that the ship date is now scheduled for January 7.

Today I tried to order two Modules of Rambus Ram for my PC. I needed two Modules of 128MB of RDRam. Was told that the 128MB was unavailable, and that I should order two 256MB SIMM Modules costing $400. Of course, my existing RAM could be thrown out. So, I went on line and found a company that will sell the upgrade RAM for $125. Goes to show you.

IOM, Dell is headed for real trouble. It takes "zero" time to lose one's reputation, and it takes "forever" to get it back. Dell is headed down one long and slippery slope.

Larry
