And so I want to talk about "Mad Cow" disease from my perspective AND more importantly from my brother's perspective, who runs hundreds of brood cattle on the ole, "home place" in the state of WASHINGTON.... BTW he is my hero for staying there..
I wish now I would have stayed, but I had to travel the world to see what I could see... To each is own. We both contribute. We compliment each other.. but I think, I know,, he contributed MORE..
But anyway, I digress.. We talked tonight, as we do often.. Besides other MORE pressing matters about the Mad Cow thing on this this Xmas Eve. We learned about his concerns about MCD.. Besides the prices... He blew off prices as I do, money if you will, because it doesn't matter, they, prices will be there, for better or for worst whenever, .. We will BOTH get over THAT..
Since we were together on the place, we NEVER fed feeding supplements.. We only vaccinated..That's what made range beef so tough.. . BUT we never had CONTROL after our feeders were sold.. And so it P!SSES us off, about the SOFT American consumer that wants "tender" steaks.. Well they can have them.... if they want............
But as added protection, he told me, he is not buying "out of area" bulls. Hell, they can inbreed some..
