Military, media have often-rocky relationship

That article leans hard on the military.

Yet the media are guilty of massive gross infractions against the US military.

The Peter Arnett, CNN and Time magazine report on the "The Tailwind Story" is but one example. That story was all made up bs...but the retraction was delayed and delayed.

If the media could report the news, good and bad, without bias and without false embellishments, and if the media would cooperate fully with tactical secrecy requirements, everyone would cooperate with them all the time. But they do not do that.

This blurb in the present article is an example of bs
"Some reporters have been shot at by U.S.-led troops."
At best that comment is inflammatory and accusative. It is certainly out of context and designed to create unsettled feelings. US led troops sometimes shoot at other US led troops. Friendly fire incidents are and have always been prevalent on all battlefields.

There is no doubt in my mind that hundreds of rooky reporters with no battlefield experience endangered their own lives with their own stupid acts. It was made clear to the reporters at the outset that US Troops would not be responsible for the reporters safety. If the reporters are dumb enough to get caught in a crossfire that is their problem.

And of course reporters dressing in Arab clothing to get close enough to interview the enemy is not exactly the smartest thing to do either.

I try to remember the reporters all in this for one thing...Big Money.

Tip: In any major emergency, fill your bathtubs and large pots with water. This will provide a ready water supply for you and your family.
