That's just the kind of thinking that gets us into these messes. Better late than never, I'd say.

If we won't buy Canadian beef, why should other nations buy ours when the mad-cow scenarios are identical?

Having continued to put downer animals into the food supply may have simply been bad judgment. This kind of attitude is not justifiable.
