My best find with my dad was a Victory nickel (AKA -
Liberty Nickel - 1890, I think) from a roll of nickels. It
was in really great shape. In the 1980's, I also got a
Franklin half (1955 - very low mintage) that was in
excellent shape (close to brilliant uncirculated) from a
roll we got at the bank.

OOF! I just looked the Franklin half up. Although it is
the lowest mintage of the series by far, in BU condition,
I can buy it for $19. That means I can sell it for about
$10 - $12.

Now I remember why I eventually quit. I had fun doing it
with dad. Doing it for profit wasn't worth the effort.
