I perused the bios of many on your link.. And what seemed to be a common thread was all their Ivy league or eastern connection for birth, work, education, etc.... WOW!! the "Dr. Strangeloves" there.. Jeesus!! the Ivy League seems like mecca for these types... At least the West was left off, proudly, I say.... Even if a few strays from the West made it out there, they were quickly broken.. Or the ones that weren't broken maybe couldn't hack it..
Does the East OWN this country, with all their rudeness, aggresiveness, etc. BUT with PERSONAL cowardliness ? I don't know...
For example, the most obnoxious of the obnoxious on SI seem to come from east of the Mississippi, or have connections there. (I am generalizing of course) .. Maybe that is why WE, as a country, are always in war, or on a war time footing.. Of course, these PHONY Americans send someone else out "WHEN THE GOING GETS TUFF"
But if the people running us are always confrontational on an individual basis, what else can someone expect on a societal basis.. WAR, the ultimate...
And all of the above, is WHY I have some personal reservations about Howard Dean.. I would much rather have Patty Murray, a REAL Democrat, a REAL WESTERNER, (and Wazzu graduate, btw, :) ) as Prez.. But I won't hold my breath until the rest of the country catches UP with me and thee..
