JB is the the keep the faith guy, me, the realist; we are THIN---Ike Reese is 220 lbs trying to play strong-side linebacker(Emmons is 250); we get up against a team with a strong running game they will just pound the strongside---Simoneua is underweight for middle LB and Reese for strong-side LB. Rayburn is taking minutes of play off of Simon and Walker; that is good--and our severe shortage on the front 4 has forced us to discover another unknown that would probably would never have got a shot. One thing we need draft or go free agency regards the defensive line. With Grasmanis, Green ,Burgess(if he doesn't prove to be hopelessly injury prone--one more injury and Burgess is finished) and Hollis Thomas back--and Rayburn showing talent we need no one added at defensive line. Regards Rams, the issue isn't Martz, the issue is the team is loaded with talent, and are healthy. To win it will take 3 straight games of McNabb being protected and being hot hot hot with Corey and Duce getting over 100 running between them. Patriots are now may distant 2nd favorite team, their defense is awesome. I now favor Patriots to take it all.(only the Colts can stop them). I love to see Eagles at least take that next step up, that being to get into Super Bowl. Eagles simply are still on the rise. And if the defense had not been stripped to the bare bone i say we would win all this year. But we have been stripped to the bare-bone. Artis Hicks and Bobbie Williams have proven out. We only have one major priority in the draft. An LB over 240 pounds that be proven or has major the potential. If we were to win this year, a long shot, we can be the first team to win back to back since Denver. Of the free agents we let go last year only one proved to have an excellent year that being Sean Barber. And that was due to Vermeil, he had Barber come to KC and signed him on the spot. i hate to see Duce go, but it is inevitable; i count at least 3 teams that will be ready to right a big check for Duce. Given that one of Taylor and Vincent probably need go, i will surprise and say i want to keep the 12 year vet--i think Vincent has 4 more years in him. Westbrook is irreplaceable, we are talking a rare talent; Westbrook, BARRING a major career breaking injury has the potential to be a super-star, and have a hall of fame carreer. Why, besides having the build of a tank he is FAST, has great hands and has THE EYES, like a Barry Sanders--i was smiling in the Miami game and the announcers were saying "terrible tackling" by Dolphins--on tape replay you can see that in lightening quick moves Westbrook faked 3 tacklers out their jock strap--The Eyes--something that is UNTEACHABLE, and he has them; the ability to see and react in a nano-second.
